Matthew G. Ghilieri

Office Manager

Matt joined New York Speech & Hearing in 2020 as a Patient Care Coordinator and became the Office Manager in 2022. Originally from Reno, Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Nevada. Before joining NYSH, he gained valuable experience working as a chiropractic assistant and in physical therapy offices.

Matt’s interest in healthcare began in childhood, inspired by time spent at the hospital with his brother, who was recovering from brain surgery.

This early exposure, combined with his professional experience, has fueled his passion for helping patients navigate their healthcare journey. His love of music has contributed to him being an integral part of NYSH, where he assists musicians and non-musicians alike with their hearing healthcare.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys playing basketball, competing in local chess tournaments, and attending live concerts – where he always wears hearing protection!

Marisabel Santiago

Front Desk Coordinator

Marisabel Santiago earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Bay Path University and began her career in New York City through Teach for America. Her passion for helping others has guided her through various roles and ultimately led to her development as a skilled administrative professional.
Now part of NYSH, Marisabel brings her organizational expertise and dedication to patient care to the team. With a growing interest in healthcare, she is drawn to audiology for its dynamic work environment, unique communication challenges, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on others’ lives.

Erica Agostino

Billing Coordinator

Erica Agostino brings over a decade of experience in medical billing to her role at New York Speech and Hearing. A seasoned professional, she has developed an exceptional understanding of insurance billing practices, ensuring accurate claims processing and guiding medical providers through complex billing procedures. Her strong attention to detail and dedication make her an invaluable member of the team.

Originally from Brooklyn, Erica now resides in New Jersey with her family. A proud mother of three, she has been happily married for over 20 years and enjoys life in a pet-friendly, family-focused environment. Her love for animals and commitment to creating a supportive home life reflect the same compassion and balance she brings to her work.

Paulina Lee

Office Assistant

Paulina Lee is currently a third-year doctoral student in the audiology program at the CUNY Graduate Center. She also holds a master’s degree in Deaf Education from The College of New Jersey.
Born with bilateral profound deafness, Paulina was implanted with a cochlear implant on her right ear at just 18 months old. Her journey with hearing loss has shaped her life in extraordinary ways, allowing her to become a dancer, a speaker of four languages (and counting), and a multi-instrumentalist. Fueled by the support she has received throughout her life, Paulina is dedicated to working with patients and their families – which inspired her pursuit of a career in audiology.

Nataly Hernandez

Student Intern

Nataly Hernandez is a dedicated Senior at the High School of Health Professions and Human Services; with a passion for healthcare, community service, and education. Currently an intern at New York Hearing and Speech, Nataly is gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the healthcare administrative field. While being an intern, she is simultaneously actively involved in raising awareness about Human Papillomavirus (HPV) alongside Columbia University and several other students in NYC. Inspired by a deep desire to help others, Nataly has been introduced to a variety of healthcare fields through her school’s Medical Assisting program. This program has fueled her aspiration to further pursue a career in health care. Nataly is currently aiming to enter the Nursing Industry, with plans to later specialize as a Pediatric Nurse.

Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Nataly is an avid runner, having competed in both cross-country and track and field. She finds peace and inspiration through running, a passion she balances with her love for healthcare.
